About Me

My name is Katie Habura, and I am a certified math teacher with over 10 years of classroom experience teaching everything from Algebra 1 through Calculus 2. I have a degree in Mathematics from Carthage College, and a Master’s Degree in STEM Education from the American College of Education. I began my teaching career at Lane Tech College Prep High School in Chicago, IL. Eight years later, my husband and I moved to Italy, where I continued teaching math for two years at the American Overseas School of Rome. 

I have also supported local students through individual and group tutoring services to enhance their subject knowledge, grow their confidence in math, and achieve the AP, IB, SAT, and ACT exam scores of their dreams. My tutoring services have now crossed borders (or should I say perimeters) and are available internationally.

FAQ

  • Yes! If you are located in the Indianapolis, IN area, I am happy to provide in-person tutoring. In-person tutoring should take place at a client’s home with a parent/guardian home, a local cafe, or a library.

  • Virtual tutoring works best if a student has a tablet that will enable them to share their screen with me. Don’t have a tablet? No worries! I utilize Google Meets, shareable document resources like Google Docs, and Notability to help create an interactive and successful virtual learning environment.

  • I charge $125/hr for tutoring provided on AP and IB courses, along with ACT and SAT prep. I charge $75/hr on all other courses. Need longer than an hour? No problem! I adjust my prices accordingly.

  • Cash, Venmo, or bank transfer are all great options. I work with you to determine the best payment plan.

  • Communication is key! Canceling is no problem, but please be sure to let me know at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a $25 cancelation fee.
